Job Description

Responsible for procurement process of medicines for the central warehouse and pharmacies. Your responsibilities will include sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and stock master records, ensure accurate records of purchases, pricing, and contracts.
• Procure all required pharmaceutical items, follow up for delivers, ensures no late deliveries with suppliers. 
• Conduct demand forecasting and demand planning.
• Negotiate prices and contract terms with vendors to secure the best possible deals. 
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Ensuring that the integrity of Data within ERP and EMR Systems is up to par with the current agreement with vendors, Inventory levels, current price, vendor sources etc. 
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, including supply disruptions, product recalls, and quality issues.
• Collaborate with warehouse management to resolve inventory and delivery discrepancies.
• Stay up to date with changing regulations and requirements in the healthcare industry, especially those related to pharmaceuticals.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports as required.
• Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for inventory optimization.
• Implement inventory control and management systems to prevent product expiry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree – Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields. 
• 3-5 years’ experience in relevant role or relevant field of pharmacy experience in UAE will be an advantage 
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Familiarity with procurement regulations, policies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and electronic systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven procurement decisions.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently, with a proactive and result-oriented approach.
