About the job:

1. Oversees, guides and coordinates the workflow of the designated area.

2. Facilitates the learning of students and junior staff working in the designated areas.

3. Participates in the pre-treatment process of appropriate patient immobilization, simulation as appropriate, Mould Room duties as needed, CT data acquisition for treatment planning.

4. Manages patient education about radiation treatment in the designed work environment.

5. Coordinates the effectively and cooperatively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and develop a caring and empathetic attitude towards all patients and their care-givers.

6. Communicates effectively and cooperatively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and develops a caring and empathetic attitude towards all patients and their care-givers.

7. Maintains ALARA principles of radiation safety for self, patient and care-givers. Participates in patient and family education.

8. Ensures all quality assurance procedures for the designated area are completed in a timely fashion and in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

9. Ensures that the working environment is safe for colleagues and self. Maintains personal professional development.

10. Ensures accurate records of the treatment of patients and of the workload are maintained.

11. Liaises with the Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physics team to implement and maintain quality assurance programs within the designated work environment to include weekly treatment record checks, portal imaging checks and PMI of the equipment in accordance with protocols.

12. Ensures that all Radiation Therapy Statistics, interlocks and machine faults are documented and reported in the agreed appropriate manner and all treatment records are checked at least weekly.

13. Participates in performance management processes.

14. Writes an official delegation of all responsibilities and assignments prior to leave / vacation.

15. Performs other job related duties as assigned as per to the policy within the entity assigned.

Qualification:

-Master Degree in Radiation Therapy or in related field.

Experience:

-Essential: Valid registration from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties as SeniorSpecialist. Current Registration in Country of Origin.

-Preferred: Other Certificates in relevant field.
