Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Charge Nurse for a full-time, on-site position at our Abu Dhabi facility. The Charge Nurse will oversee operations within the operating room, coordinate the surgical team, and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining surgical environments, managing resource allocation, supervising OR staff, and enforcing compliance with safety and healthcare protocols. The role also involves mentoring team members, handling patient concerns, and collaborating with surgical staff for a seamless workflow.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical nursing skills, including monitoring patients, administering medications, and managing surgical procedures
• Leadership and team management abilities to supervise and mentor staff effectively
• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare safety regulations and operating room standards
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent; Master’s degree is advantageous
• Valid nursing license and certification in Operating Room Nursing (CNOR) preferred
• Previous experience in an operating room environment, especially in a supervisory role
