
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Medical Record Analysis: Conduct both quantitative and qualitative reviews of patient records, ensuring all documentation, signatures, and clinical information are complete and meet regulatory requirements.
- Physician Documentation Review: Examine physician notes to confirm they include all necessary elements for thorough and accurate medical reporting.
- Deficiency Tracking and Notifications: Identify incomplete records, issue deficiency notices to responsible physicians, and ensure compliance with medical staff regulations.
- Error Identification and Resolution: Detect discrepancies or errors in patient electronic medical records (EMRs) and recommend corrective actions to maintain data accuracy.
- Efficient Release of Information: Handle all aspects of the information release process, from authorization validation to request processing, ensuring timely and compliant coordination with internal teams.
- Medical Record Maintenance and Requests: Manage daily scanning, uploading, and merging of medical records into the EMR system while responding promptly to inquiries and emergency requests for information.
- Stakeholder Communication and Engagement: Foster trust and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders by delivering personalized, compassionate, and evidence-based services that align with M42’s values.
Qualifications
- Associates of Science degree in Health Information Technology
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive career experience
- Experience in Health Information Management or Medical Records Department
- Ability in utilizing health informationsystem (HIS) software
- Knowledge of Protected Health Information (PHI)
