
Job Description
iCademy Middle East, an online school, is seeking a Teacher Assistant to work in our Knowledge Hub in Dubai Knowledge Park. This is a full-time position, working with students in Kindergarten to Grade 2. Qualified applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree and have demonstrated experience working with students in an educational setting. The hours are 8am – 4pm Monday through Thursday and 7:30am – 12:00 noon on Friday.
The Teacher Assistant will include:
- Provide support to children on an individual, class or small group basis.
- Give extra help to children with special needs or those for whom English is not their first language.
- Motivate and encourage pupils.
- Prepare the classroom for lessons.
- Assist with assessing and correcting work.
- Attend meetings and reviews.
- Help with school events, trips and activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- 3 years minimum experience, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Native (or near native) English speaker
- Experience tutoring or teaching children
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
