Position Overview
The Sales Executive – Medical Devices is responsible for driving sales and supporting the growth of the company’s medical device portfolio within the assigned territory. The role covers account management, customer engagement, product promotion, and ensuring availability at customer sites. It also includes coordinating merchandising standards, supporting tender and listing processes, and securing timely collection of payments. The position requires effective collaboration with internal teams and healthcare professionals to ensure compliance, customer satisfaction, and achievement of business objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
- Promote and sell medical devices within the assigned territory to achieve defined sales targets.
- Identify and develop new customer accounts across hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.
- Support product registration, listing, and tender participation in line with company requirements.
- Execute upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximise revenue per account.
Customer Engagement and Support
- Act as the first point of contact for customers, ensuring prompt and professional handling of requests.
- Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions to healthcare professionals.
- Provide after-sales support and coordinate technical assistance when required.
- Ensure product promotion and visibility in line with agreed sales and marketing plans.
Operational Coordination
- Monitor product availability at customer sites and coordinate with logistics to prevent stock-outs.
- Follow up with the finance team to ensure timely collection of payments and resolve outstanding issues.
- Oversee returns management and compliance with internal processes.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company policies related to medical devices.
Merchandising and In-Store Execution
- Implement merchandising standards to ensure correct product placement and visibility.
- Monitor and report on shelf availability, displays, and compliance with promotional activities.
- Coordinate with marketing and merchandising teams to strengthen product presence at the point of sale.
Market Insights and Reporting
- Monitor competitor activities, including product launches, pricing, and promotional initiatives.
- Collect customer and end-user feedback to inform sales and product planning.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports on sales performance and market trends.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with marketing and regulatory teams to support product launches, campaigns, and customer communication.
- Share customer and market insights with colleagues to support sales strategies and operational planning.
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork, integrity, and accountability in line with NCH values.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field; Biomedical Engineering is an advantage.
- 2 – 4 years of experience in sales; exposure to medical devices or healthcare sector preferred.
- Fresh graduates with strong interest in medical sales will be considered.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Basic knowledge of medical devices, healthcare systems, and procurement processes.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to deliver product demonstrations and training.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM systems.
- Valid UAE driving licence and readiness to travel within the assigned territory.
