ABA Therapy post at Camali Clinic, DHCC

This ABA therapist post is for a senior therapist who has a minimum of five years post qualification experience with full Board Certified Behavioural Analysis (BCBA) credentials, has worked in a multidisciplinary team with children with autism spectrum disorders and/or other related developmental disabilities. A very attractive package is available dependent on qualifications, skills and experience.

This is an exciting role in a new multidisciplinary mental health service provision in Dubai and will give the post holder the opportunity to shape and develop ABA service provisions. This would be to include assessment and development of learning and behavioural programmes, provision of individual therapy and group work.
The clinical team at Camali Clinic consists of a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Cognitive Behaviour Therapists, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nurse, Speech and Language Pathologist, Educational Psychologist and Family Liaison Officer. There is a weekly team meeting as we follow a multidisciplinary approach to formulate comprehensive care plans. Professional development is encouraged and all clinicians have regular supervision and training opportunities. We follow international guidelines such as National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) to ensure high standards of care.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach learners the most developmentally appropriate functional skills as determined by each individual assessment and treatment plan
Work with individual learners or groups of learners within the natural environments
Responsible for daily upkeep of program materials for assigned learners
Receive passing scores on competency evaluations for instruction and record keeping
Interact with parents and others in a professional manner
Protect and ensure the health and safety of each child in the Center
Assist learners with health and hygiene practices
Participate in the development of reports, treatment plans and problem behavior reduction plans
Participate in staff meetings and mandatory in-service trainings

Ability to lift 15kg / 30 lbs (to lift a child)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in behavior sciences, psychology, nursing, or education
Training in Applied Behavior Analysis is preferred, e.g. RBT/ BCBA/ BCABA
At least two years demonstrable ABA work experience in a clinic or school setting – written references will be sought, please identify suitable providers of these references
Excellent English, spoken and written

License/Certification:
CDA/ DHA required
