Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Commercial Sales Manager to drive and execute high-impact sales strategies across private healthcare channels including hospitals, clinics, pharmacy chains, and distributors. This role is critical in delivering our commercial goals and building long-term, trust-based relationships with key partners.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement national sales strategies tailored to private healthcare segments.
  • Set sales targets and KPIs, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives.
  • Continuously monitor sales performance and adjust tactics based on market dynamics and competitive landscape.
  • Lead, inspire, and coach a high-performing sales team through regular field visits, performance reviews, and training sessions.
  • Identify capability gaps and lead development initiatives to uplift team performance.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with private sector stakeholders, including hospitals, healthcare providers, pharmacy chains, and distributors.
  • Oversee key account management, tender participation (if applicable), and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate closely with internal functions such as Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Market Access to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, inventory planning, and operational alignment.
  • Analyze sales data, customer insights, and market trends to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards.
  • Leadership Reporting & Administration
  • Prepare periodic performance reports and dashboards for leadership review.
  • Oversee team administration including attendance, leave management, performance appraisals, and compliance with HR policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related field. MBA is highly preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in sales roles within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry, including at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies in private healthcare channels.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including hospital procurement, retail chains, and distributor networks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into commercial actions.
  • Proficiency in sales analytics tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong ethical foundation and adherence to compliance in highly regulated environments.
